New Days Ahead for PA-TSA

Thanks to the efforts of many volunteers, staff and Board members, PA-TSA did not close it's doors on July 1st, 2011!!! Tourette Syndrome was also funded inthe State Budget this fiscal year at $75,000, but this money will not be available to us until a new grant agreement is signed, perhaps until January of 2012!

In order to continue to serve the needs of our members and those in Pennsylvania seeking information about Tourette Syndrome, we have made the following changes:
  • PA-TSA has downsized, eliminating the support staff positions of Cindy Mueller and Penny Samples as of August 1st. They were both wonderful assets to PA-TSA and will be missed by all!!
  • PA-TSA has relocated Sherrie & Sabrina and we are currently seeking a renter for the building in Gettysburg. Sherrie & Sabrina are working to transition PA-TSA to a more technology-based information, education andadvocacy service.
  • To assist us with this transition, we are reaching out for volunteers to attend upcoming webinar trainings! These volunteers will be trained to help families in their local communities and those interested will also be trained to provide Educator and Peer In-service Programs. More information on specific trainings will be emailed and posted on our website very soon!
  • When contacting PA-TSA by phone, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We are doing our best to respond to all calls within 24 hours during business days. You can also still reach us by email to sherrie@patsainc.org and sabrina@patsainc.org .
With these changes, PA-TSA will be able to continue to support individuals and families while being less reliant on State Funding which is unpredictable year-to-year. We hope also, that these changes will better engage you, our members, as we enlist your help in growing to better serve everyone within the state that wants to know more about TS!
