Consultant Services

Individuals with Tourette Syndrome are often very complex with their multitude of diagnosis and tics that change without forewarning.  Differentiating tics from behaviors can become a real challenge especially in the school setting.  In order to assist schools with these issues, the Pennsylvania Tourette Syndrome Alliance (PA-TSA) offers consultant services.   A Professional Tourette Consultant from PA-TSA will provide the following:

• Observe the student within the school setting (4 hours)
• Consult with school personnel to gather information
• A report including summarization of the observation, conclusion, and recommendations
• Attend a Team Meeting to discuss the report and answer questions (2 hours)

A nominal fee of $300 is charged for this invaluable service. (For additional hours of observation or meeting time the rate is $50 per hour)

PA-TSA Consultants can also provide In-Service Training for Educators and peers. We are dedicated to making the lives of those touched by Tourette Syndrome better by helping to educate those around them.
