PA-TSA's MISSION:

The PA Tourette Syndrome Alliance is a non-profit organization that promotes awareness and acceptance, provides education, and assists families, schools and communities while advocating for individuals with TS.

Important Notice:

When the world is changing and everything seems unknown, we want you to know that you can count on the PA Tourette Syndrome Alliance to be a support in your life. Because we already work from home, we are able to provide phone support, information and help you talk through any problems related to Tourette. We are not currently traveling to provide trainings or to meet in person, but we can assist you or refer you to other services that can help.

In light of the current situation, we are working on some out-of-the-box solutions for our upcoming special events. We are also working on some fun and helpful ideas to support your children and promote awareness of Tourette that you can do from home.

First, our Day at the Capital on May 4th may not be held as planned. However, it is imperative for the Legislators to still hear why services for Tourette syndrome needs to continue. We will be reaching out to you very soon with how you can assist our efforts from home by sharing your story and pictures.

Second, we are waiting to hear if the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community will be postponed or cancelled. However, as an important yearly fundraiser and outreach opportunity, we are focusing on asking people to register as virtual walkers! Teams can still join and raise funds by sharing their reason for supporting Tourette syndrome services in PA. Your story might be a nice reprieve from the regular news.

Third, although this could change, right now we are still busy planning for TS Family Camp in June. We have significant scholarship funds for those who want to attend but can’t afford that right now. Thanks to funds provided by Ken & Christine Beck, TAA of Eastern PA, Brad Cohen Tourette Foundation and Jim Reaver, we should be able to scholarship any family into camp who wants to come. Please go to our website to use the online or printed application to apply for a scholarship.

Remember, we are all in this together and we can all do our part to help. Above all else, stay safe!

Sincerely,

The PATSA Team

Sherrie, Sara, Nicole & Brandi
